bianca ryans. i am sure most of u have heard of her frm pple's blog or youtube or watever. u cant deny that for someone her age, she sings so dam well...but sadly, her life is gonna be screwed. cos u see, child stars exploited at a young age esp in america turn out to be screw ups in life in future. sad but true.

britney spears, famous pop star when we were all in primary school. she was exploited at a young age with her mum as manager. yes..her own mother screwed her life and look at britney spears now. everyone jz cares abt her private life and laugh at her stupidity bt no longer her songs.

the guy frm home alone( i dunno his name) the cute young boy who acted in christmas specials home alone was so well liked last time. and now..hes in jail for drugs. =.=''

its sad how these pple become so famous when young then they get money and go do stupid stuff.. like take drugs, make sex tape etc... so in short, be a child star in america and sooner or later, u gonna screw ur life. of course i may be entirely bullshitting to u bt u have to agree.. 2 gr8 examples is strong enuf eveidence eh =)

so thank god child actors in singapore dun get paid much or have big contracts, which is why so far, there are no screwed up pple who are famous. those who are screwed up are usually only famous after they commit the crimes.

school starting in 1 week time..sianz.

chinese for chinese!

i have come down to a sad conclusion after recent events-singaporean chinese cant speak chinese for nuts other than those who speak very well of course. ironical but true. after various trips to china, i have amazingly shocked many by just being able to speak chinese. =.='' an example was when while driving me and my sis home after making our visas, my dad's secretary attempted to speak english to me and when i replied to her in chinese as i felt it wld make things easier, the shock on her face was distinct. even though i consider myself to be relatively fluent in speaking chinese, the people sometimes still do not get what i am saying. and i have to repeat again. vice versa, i do not get wat they say at times as they are speaking so fast.

the sad thing is quite a number of chinese in singapore are unable to speak chinese fluently or even jz piece sentences together. a simple conversation in chinese would result in stutters as i have seen while the opposite party tries to get what one is saying. it is saddening and i know many teachers have said this but i will say it again. if malay and indians can speak their mother tongue so well, then why cant we, as chinese do the same. thus when i someday by chance or something become minister of education or in the committee or something, i would propose that the L1R5 in effect now to be changed to L2R4! i will probably be shot if this happens but it is for the best as it is the only way people can try to improve their chinese the way they would for english.

of course in saying all these, i am not saying my chinese dam pro cos i know it is not and i myself am guilty of not being really interested in chinese as i do not intend to take chinese in jc. but despite this, i will still continue to speak chinese, cos i will come to china and theres an obvious need for me to use it.

hopefully, singaporean chinese will not take chinese for granted cos its dam embarrasing if u cant speak ur mother tongue like a malay unabale to speak malay, an indian unable to speak tamil, a german unable to speak german and a french unable to speak french.

this is gonna sound crazy but i am shocked that it is friday today. one week passed so quickly that i barely noticed. considering the fact that i sleep at 1-2 am and wake up at 12-1 pm it is normal that my morning is gone. my afternoons are spent basically going online, eating lunch and watching mroe and mroe dvds provided i dun go out which is often the case as shopping and walking jz issin my kind of thing. i rather stay home and watch my dvds. lol

despite many saying that waking up late sux, it actually is good. cos u get to save on breakfast. ur days are shorter so its good if u are very bored and time passes quickly. so if u belong to the bored group of people with no activities, jz slp dam late and wake up dam late and u will find that it rocks!.

o btw, after many complaints(actually only javier) that my font is too small, i decided to enlarge it. YAY! back to gb..

it seems that blogging has become a popular pastime for many with an increadible 2 friends of mine having created new blogs in the past few days. so i decided to start blogging again although no one comes and the tagboard is constantly dead. but nevertheless, the passion to blog is back in me.

anw, woke up retardedly early by a school holiday standard(7 30 am) to go shangahi with my sis and mum. we went to the bus station and caught a bus to go shanghai. trip took abt 1 1/2 hrs and when we arrived, weather was good. we then took mrt to wai tan( some sea place in front of dong fang minzhu which is some tall tower with a ball in the centre). in the train, we are totally packed liek sardines. the only chance u get to sit down is if u board right at the start. and at 11 am on a working day, i really cant see where the people coming from. i can onyl come to a conclusion- there are many jobless people in china. so we stood for like 8 stops before we arrived at our designated mrt station and continued walkikng b4 we finally arrived at the place. the view is breathtaking, or rather the wind. u stand at the edge and feel the winter breeze blowing towards u, the feeling is dam shuang. took a hell lot of photos there even though its like our 3rd time there. -.-'' dun ask me why.

following that, we went ajisen for lunch and it rocked. the food is cheap like siao. we ordered one ma la mian, one scallop la mian, a serving of guo tie, a serving of fried prawns and another serving of fried sotong and it only costs 19 sing. ajisen in singapore is quite ex, at least more than here la.

after that we went to the new xiang yang market( the shopping heavan which no longer exists) at some old muesom. for those who duno, xiang yang market used to be th most popular place for toursists for the cheap bargains for stuff like watches, bags, clothes. the place as i remembered at its old site was forever crowded and u can walk for hours and still not finish shopping. the new xiang yang( revamped due to the phasing out of pirated goods) has nothing, nothing of the old brilliance. the shops are bigger, air conditoned, but quiet. no longer is there the familiar sound of argueing over prices with the owners. the place is so empty that u can put 100 elepahnts and still have space to move (i was tempted to use deyong but i resisted) such a sad end to wat was once the most popular place in shanghai. the prices consequently increased with the higher rent in such a expensive location. which is really sad as this was wat attracted tourists. we used to spend 3 hrs and have no intention of leaving. today, we stayed for an hour and left buyign almost nothing.

following that, we went to parkson which has a nice singapore restaurant which sells food that is dam ex. we went and ate roti prata and an ice kachang which costs liek 10 sing. u can get this for mayb 2.50 in singapore. but we always eat there despite this even though we can eat it everyday in singapore but heck, the fun is in trying ur home country food overseas and see whetehr it sux.

after that did more shopping and took a bus back again. sadly, shanghai now has nothign of interest to me. so dun think will be going back anytime soon.

LIVE DRAMA

reporting live from jiaxing, china at a housing estate jia ye yang guang cheng(my house in china) is some great drama.

approx. 12 05 am, while chatting on msn, i heard a disturbance outside, it soon turned into a commotion and i took a peek ooutside the window. i saw a grp of at least 9 man and arnd 2 gals. this guy(think hes drunk) was shouting like some mad dog, a crazy one too at another guy. it was originally jz a heated arguement. it sooned turn worse as i watched on enthusiastically as the drunk man suddenly went like lai ar lai ar at the other guy initiating a confrontation. so the other guy appeased him by going there to bash him. despite the futile attempts of their friends to restrain them, the desire to beat the hell out of the other guy prove to be too strong a temptation and they continued. there were breaks in between like a typical fight and once the other party says somethign again, they start fighting all over again.

soon, the security guards at my house attempted to reason with them but failed horrendously as they started fighting again. the guards were at their wits end not knowing how to handle this matter and soon called for backup(police). within minutes i saw the familiar siren of the police car as it turned in. out stepped 2 tall policemen(most pple in china are short, i not saying i tall la but its true) they attempted reasoning again.it faield as usual but this time they only shouted and did not fight as they were obviously scared of the higher order. like kittens they succumbed to the authority of the policemen, i thought this was it but i was wrong as the drunkard tried to run and go bash the other guy again. at this point , i ahve no footage to provide as i could not see what was happening.

after wat seemed like ages, they were back in view by the lamp posts where i could see relatively clearly, the policemen had led the drunk guy into the police car after he apparently refused to apologise for fighting. so off he was to the station. the amazing thing was i could still haer clearly shouting from the car( i am serious). then at 12 38 am, the quiet of the night was returned and everything was back to normal and the small crowd of people watching went back to their lives.

THE END
